Snug in convivial Waves Restaurant you’ll be offered an a la carte menu that focuses on local ingredients. The famous eat-as-much-as-you-wish carvery and seafood buffets are available throughout most of flower season (Aug-Sep) and on request. Waves Restaurant is open for dinner and the menu gain inspiration from local and international cuisine. Seafood rules, but there’s also steak and other red meats if you have surfeit of seafood, and vegetarian options if you’re not into meat at all. Highlights include Smoked Salmon and Chicken Salad, Snoek pâté with Rooibos Tea Loaf, Seafood a la Waves (Pasta) and Crayfish in season. Of interest to winelovers is the extensive, reasonable priced wine list, which includes a variety of wines from the local Olifants River Wine Route. Also included in the wine list are the Paradyskloof Wines from Jan Boland Coetzee (A Vinbladet winner of 2001) who has a passionate love of wine. He is a famous rugby player who played in six rugby matches for the Springboks and grew up in Lamberts Bay. The famous Lobster Port is open from 12h00 in the afternoon serving light meals. Enjoy a tasty sandwich, while watching fishing boats gently make their way into the harbour. A full traditional English breakfast is also served in the restaurant and included in the room rate. The breakfast consists of continental, with fresh croissants, muffins, yogurt etc to hot, with omelettes, bacon and more. Outside guests are welcome to enjoy a hearty breakfast in our hotel. We also cater for weddings, conferences, meetings and seminars. Our cocktail platters are very popular and reasonably priced. DirectionsDIRECTIONS FROM CAPE TOWN +/- 280km Located on the West Coast, +/- 280km north of Cape Town on the Namaqualand Wild Flower Route. Take the N7 from Cape Town as it is tarred all the way. Follow the N7 to Malmesbury and continue directly on this route by passing the towns of Moorreesburg, Piketberg and Citrusdal. About 57km from Citrusdal a turning to your right indicates Clanwilliam (just after the dam). Take this turn off and continue on the R364 to Lamberts bay (60 km). Turn right after the BP Garage in Lamberts Bay and follow the signage to the hotel. Alternatively, you can take the R27 along the coast as most of the road is tarred.
