DescriptionOur Accommodation:Overlooking the Langebaan nature reserve, this beautiful guest house offers outstanding views over Schaapeneiland and lagoon, with incomparable birdwatching opportunities. This stunning Langebaan accommodation has 5 bedrooms and has been awarded a grading of 4 Stars by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA) for "Superior (excellent) comfort and quality with a highstandard of furnishings and service". The bedrooms are very comfortably furnished with tea tray, fan, large shower and spa bath as you can see on the photograph. There is a television in the lounge for all the guests to use. We serve a very substantial continental breakfast and it is a pleasure to sit and watch the little duikers pass the house in search of food. There are also dassies on the rocks and if you go for a walk, you may come across a tortoise or two. The birdlife is abundant, even from the house, but the lagoon wetlands is a renowned bird watching spot. There is a footpath from the house down through the veld to the lagoon and town centre and it takes about twenty minutes to walk. If you prefer to drive to the shops (there are a couple of nice ones!), it will take you about seven minutes.

DirectionsFrom central Cape Town, Take N1 highway, then R27 (Paarden Eiland turnoff), north, direction Veldrif. At the Rocks is approximately 130 kms north of Cape Town. After about 120 kms from Cape Town, take turn off left to Langebaan (there is an Engen petrol service station on the left just before the turnoff). After 10 kms, this brings you into the main road, Oostewal Street, Langebaan. Drive exactly 1.6 km from the first stop street once you enter Langebaan. You will see the Yacht Club on the right ¡K turn LEFT into Sunbird Drive. 1.4 km along Sunbird Drive, turn LEFT at the 3-way stop street into Tortilissingel (name on kerb stone). At the Rocks is at the bottom of the ¡§U¡¨ of the crescent and it is on a panhandle plot. There is a brown facebrick house on the one side and a grey facebrick house on the other side of a long driveway with standing lamps on each side. You will see 65, At the Rocks at the entrance and on the wall of the house. Welcome! |
