Description

Situated in the old Country Club. some 2km from the centre of town in a very quiet area.All rooms are on the ground floor.The property consists of three double bed , Bed and Breakfast rooms, and a sunny breakfast room which in the evening becomes an honesty bar with DSTV. The property also has a 2 bedroom cottage with ensuite bathrooms. All rooms are serviced daily.

 Cape of Smiles, Bed & Breakfast and Self Catering Accommodation is situated in a relaxing and quiet spot of Langebaan, in what is known as the Old Country Club, with full off street parking. We tend to be valued by our more discerning guests and seasoned travelers as our policy of no single beds means we attract mainly couples. We are only minutes by car, to the beach, shops and restaurants.

Breakfast is taken in our small but sunny, breakfast room, and is served to our guests agreed times, with tea and coffee available 24 hours a day. At night this area turns into an Honesty Bar and is serviced by DSTV. There are no televisions in our rooms; our aim is to give our guests the maximum relaxation we can offer.

Accommodation

Bed & Breakfast
All our rooms are ground floor level each offering different bathroom options with one en suite shower room, one separate shower room, and one with large luxury bath. All our rooms are equipped with safes, as is our self catering unit. Our three bed and breakfast bedrooms are all doubles with no single bed facilities.

Self Catering Cottage
Adjoining the main house is the newly built Seahorse Cottage which is our 2 double bed roomed, en suite bathrooms self catering facility. This sleeps 4 people and is fully furnished, with all the day to day needs of any household, including DSTV in both the living room and master bedroom, the cottage has its own reserved off road parking, and its own outdoor seating area.

The cottage is an ideal base for golfing couples as there are around 10 courses within an hour and a halves drive, and gives the guests the best of two holidays their recreational relaxation, coupled with a seaside break, and allows them the freedom to do as they please.

This, as all our rooms, has the bonus of being serviced daily by our maids.

Our check in time is 2pm on arrival and check out is 11 am on the day of your departure. Our aims are to give our clients a service which is both excellent in both its content and delivery, and give you our customers, the comfort and value, to create a truly memorable short break or holiday. So whatever your pleasure, or leisure, come and enjoy our idyllic seaside town.

 The lion Room

Fully en-suite double bedroom, consisting of double bed, fully fitted wardrobe, vanity unit, fully tiled shower, toilet and wash basin.

The room also has a fully secured safe, alarm clock radio and hardryer.

The room and en-suite are fully serviced daily.

The Leopard Room

The room consists of double bed, fully fitted wardrobes, vanity unit, fully secured safe, alarm clock radio and hairdryer.

The room is served by its own bathroom, which is fully tiled and consists of large shower, toilet and wash basin.

The room consists of double bed, fully fitted wardrobes, vanity unit, fully secured safe, alarm clock radio and hairdryer.

Sea Horse Cottage

Built in 2008 this brand new cottage is ideal for two couples to share, the property being fully self catering, but also having the welcome addition of maid service each morning.

The property is filled with light from all angles with three large patio windows facing out to the courtyard, etc, with the lounge, dining room and bedrooms all benefiting from large windows. The property consists of open plan lounge, with TV unit, DSTV, stereo system, lounge suite. This leads on into the dining area, which is furnished with dining table and chairs. Finally there is a fully fitted kitchen and breakfast bar, this is accompanied by all the appliances and kitchenware to make your stay comfortable.

The property has a master bedroom with DSTV, double bed, fully fitted wardrobes, and 'walk through' en suite, fully tiled and fitted with large shower, toilet, wash basin and hairdryer. The bedroom has large patio windows to the courtyard. The second bedroom is slightly smaller but consists of double bed, fully fitted wardrobes and 'walk through' en suite, fully tiled and fitted with large shower, toilet and wash basin.

The property is also serviced by it's own fully secured and fitted safe. All bedding and towels are provided and changed weekly. The property is ideal for long or short term rental, whether it be for holidays, corporate retreat or corporate stay, the cottage is a home from home for everyone.

There is no single bed facilities and the maximum people staying as holiday let is four. Our minimal stay in this facility is two days, please check our rates as they are seasonal, for corporate rates for periods of six months or more please contact us directly. As an alternative to the bed and breakfast, the cottage offers true flexibility in your stay, giving you privacy, and is a cost effective option if at least two people stay. Ideal for Golfing Couples, with 12 courses within a 1 to 2 hour drive.
The room is served by its own fully tiled bathroom consisting of large bath, toilet and wash basin.

The room and bathroom are fully serviced daily.

Directions

On picking up your rental car, you leave the airport complex on Airport Approach Road, follow this until you will see signs N2 Cape Town, take this road bearing right and you will join the N2. Come of at the second junction you come to, which is marked Junction 14, Vanguard Drive, Goodwood, Epping, Malmesbury. As you come up to the top of the junction, go through the first lights carrying straight on, at the next lights, 50 yards or so, turn right, and proceed straight on, you are now on Vanguard Drive, the N7. There is then about a 15 minute drive, staying straight until you reach the sign for M14, Plattekloof Road, this is highly visible as the main Caltex Plant is here. From the top of the slip road turn left, and follow the road right down to the T Junction, get into the outside lane and at the t junction turn right onto Koeberg Road. At the second set of lights you will see a slip road on your left, with a KIA Garage on the corner, turning left you are now on Blaauwberg Road, carry on straight through 5 sets of lights, at the sixth set, get into the outside lande, where you now turn right onto the West Coast Road R27. Your landmark here for this turn is the large Bayside Shopping Centre on your right. You now have a 95km drive along the R27. Please be careful if travelling this road at night as it is not very well lit and as it runs parallel to the sea can suffer from Sea Mist. The Langebaan Turn Off is well signposted, the landmark here is the Engen One Stop Garage. Turn left and you are now on the Langebaan approach road, carry on for 5 km's until you reach the first 4 Stop, this is the start of town, go straight through this 4 stop, at the next 4 stop turn left, this is Sleigh Street, 400 yards up and the second on the left is Fairway Drive. Turn left up Fairway Drive, follow the road up, the first and second turns on your right are both marked Troonweg, take the second on your right, and Cape of Smiles is the first house on your immediate Left.
